Sohaib Al-Malkawi

Sohaib Al-Malkawi (صهيب الملكاوي; born on April 27, 1974) is a Jordanian journalist and television presenter.

Malkawi graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in "Journalism and Media," specializing in Radio and Television, from Yarmouk University in Irbid in 1995.

He began his broadcasting career in 1998 on Jordan Radio and Television Corporation before transitioning to Al Jazeera satellite channel in 2001.

His journey into the realm of broadcasting commenced in 1998 when he embarked on a role as a broadcaster on Jordan Radio and Television Corporation.

For three years, he honed his skills and crafted his voice in the media landscape.

In 2001, he transitioned to the esteemed Al Jazeera Media Network satellite channel, marking the onset of a transformative phase in his career.

At Al Jazeera, he assumed the mantle of a political news broadcaster, immersing himself in the tumultuous currents of global affairs.

Over the span of four eventful years, he traversed the terrain of significant geopolitical events, including the Iraq War, the conflict in Afghanistan, and the siege on Yasser Arafat.

In 2005, Malkawi transitioned to the economics department, where he undertook the role of the broadcaster for economic bulletins.
